Reach Food Group had the distinct privilege of being a principal supporter at the prestigious Monte-Carlo Gala for Planetary Health 2020, dedicated to Ocean, Earth, and Humanity. This was an evening that highlighted the collective determination and dedication to safeguarding the future of our planet. Hosted by HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco and HSH Princess Charlene of Monaco, the gala brought together celebrities, business leaders and scientists to celebrate the remarkable efforts of individuals committed to protecting our planet. It provided a platform for the exchange of ideas in pursuit of safeguarding our Earth and its precious ecosystems.
At the event, musician and environmental activist, Sting, was honoured by The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, a leader in environmental protection worldwide. The gala celebrated Sting’s environmental activism, most notably for his work through the Rainforest Foundation (which has partnered with indigenous communities on approximately 300 multi-year projects in over 20 countries).
As well as an incredible performance by the award-winning singer, songwriter Leona Lewis, the evening featured the gala’s signature auction, helping to raise substantial funds that support the Foundation’s critical and comprehensive portfolio of conservation projects. Esteemed guests, including actresses Maisie Williams and Sienna Miller, actress, comedian, writer, and producer Rebel Wilson, model Alton Mason, and fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger, attended the event to showcase their commitment to such an important cause.
For Reach Food Group, participating in the Monte-Carlo Gala for Planetary Health was more than just a sponsorship; it was a chance to demonstrate our steadfast dedication to sustainability and environmental stewardship. In a world where environmental concerns are increasingly pressing, our involvement in this event showcased our belief that businesses can and must play a pivotal role in shaping a better future for our planet. Corporate responsibility and environmental sustainability and so closely intertwined. As we reflect on this extraordinary event from just one week ago, we take immense pride in our role in supporting a cause of paramount importance.
