This week, team Reach journeyed over to The Kingfish Company’s cutting-edge facility in the Netherlands, where they produce the popular Dutch Yellowtail. Tapping into the pristine marine estuary water of the Eastern Scheldt, a Natura 2000 nature reserve, they offer a healthy, antibiotic-free delicacy renowned for its premium Sashimi quality.
The Kingfish Company stands out as the only ASC & BAP-certified source of Yellowtail, firmly anchoring sustainability at the core of their operations. They take great care to ensure that their operations are stress-free and humane for their fish, while minimizing their environmental impact and running their facility solely on 100% green electricity.
At Reach Food Group, we take pride in associating ourselves with partners who share our values and dedication to sustainability, quality, and innovation. Together, we are not only delivering an outstanding product but also setting the stage for a more sustainable and responsible future within the seafood industry.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to The Kingfish Company team for their warm hospitality and for guiding us through their innovative fish production process! Naturally, our visit wouldn’t be complete without a taste-testing session. The Dutch Yellowtail we sampled was delicate, light, and incredibly versatile. It’s no wonder that chefs worldwide hold this product in such high regard.
